Responsibilities

• Reviewing and appraising adequacy of accounting, financial, and operational controls
• Evaluating accounting systems and financial controls
• Monitoring compliance with institutional policies and procedures
• Safeguarding institutional assets
• Verifying reliability of financial data
• Identifying system deficiencies including duplication and resource waste
• Conducting specialized audits

3-year term, renewable for another 3-year term.

• Postgraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Audit
• Active membership in a recognized accounting body (ICA, ACCA, CIMA, etc.)
• Minimum 10 years post-qualification professional accounting experience
• Demonstrated expertise in internal auditing and controls
• Substantial knowledge of university operations
